Disc golf specialist Viktor Törner is a passionate outdoorsman who recently decided to try to improve the indoor climate in his terraced house in Fagersta. Viktor lives with his partner Rebecka Tulkiewicz and two small children and he runs an e-commerce store from home that sells discs. The terraced house was originally electrically heated with radiators, but over the years has both received an air source heat pump in the basement and one on the entrance floor.
After the installation of the air source heat pumps, it became clear that a one-sided solution was not sufficient to manage the heating of the house. The heat did not circulate between the floors and it was noticeably cooler upstairs where the family's bedroom is. In winter they could have up to 23-24 degrees on the entrance floor but only 16-18 degrees on the upper floor.
Furthermore, after changing the windows to improve thermal insulation and save energy, ventilation started to become a problem. Viktor got the feeling that the air was running out when he sat at home and worked for a few hours. For him and Rebecka, it was important that they have a good indoor climate, especially for the sake of the children. They realized that they both needed to add more fresh air to the house and that the heat would circulate better between the floors.
"I could completely run out of air after sitting at home and working for a couple of hours."
Viktor contacted Airmove and within a few days they visited the home and found that the carbon dioxide level in the house was high. Viktor and Rebecka were recommended to install five Airmove 3.0, fresh air valves that bring fresh air into the house and remove polluted air. In addition, the installer suggested an Airmove 2.0 between the floors to circulate the heat to the upper floor.
Today, Viktor and Rebecka feel that they both have fresher air and a more stable heat over all three floors, something that creates a nicer and healthier living environment. When winter comes, Viktor thinks that the house's heating system will also work more efficiently thanks to the improved air circulation. He thinks it feels safe that they hired a company that has knowledge and experience in working with fresh air in homes.
