The Airmove 3.5 basement valve is a Swedish invention that, through a temperature-sensitive and self-regulating thermostat, regulates the introduction of fresh air into basements, storage rooms or garages. The valve adapts the amount of air to the outside temperature, which means that in auto mode it reduces the air supply when the temperature falls and increases when the temperature rises.

Better ventilation

Supply air should be available in all rooms except the kitchen and bathroom for your home and your family to feel good. Airmove 3.5 increases the air flow so that you get more fresh air in and thus reduces the risk of moisture and mold that can negatively affect your health. The basement vent brings fresh air into the basement, storage room or garage and brings out polluted air, around the clock, all year round. The fresh air valve is mainly intended for basements, storerooms, garages or where you have a fixed folding shutter or a larger wall unit. 

Problem with moisture and basement odor

A recurring problem in many basements, storage rooms and garages is the basement smell that can occur when the air is too stagnant. Old ventilations that are closed to prevent it from getting cold cause the air to become saturated with moisture due to poor inflow. By installing an Airmove 3.5, you get a continuous inflow of fresh air and outflow of polluted air and thus avoid the musty basement smell. 

Number of fresh air vents

The number of fresh air vents in the basement depends on how many rooms there are in the basement and where the holes in the basement are located. A rule of thumb is to install one valve per 25 square meters. If the room is larger than 25 square meters, two fresh air valves should be installed.
