Airmove has been spreading warmth for over ten years

For 14 years, Martin Ögren and his family have lived in a terraced house in Avesta. The house was built in 1977 and originally had mechanical exhaust ventilation, electric radiators, and a fireplace. However, in the very first year, the family bought an air-to-air heat pump as a supplement.

Martin soon discovered that the heat from the fireplace remained in the living room and struggled to spread to the upstairs. Nor could the heat from the air heat pump make its way up, even though it was installed near the stairs. Martin recounts that the air was completely stagnant in the house and that they could have temperature differences of more than five degrees between the floors. When they burned a lot in the fireplace, it was sometimes 25 degrees on the ground floor but still only 18 degrees upstairs.

“The air was completely stagnant in the house.”

The Airmove 2.0 Heat Transfer Fan - A Solution for the Whole Home

The solution was the Airmove 2.0 heat transfer fan. Martin wanted to ensure the installation was done correctly so he enlisted the help of Airmove staff who handled the assembly. Since then, Martin believes that the heat from both the fireplace and the air heat pump has circulated throughout the house, creating a more even and pleasant room temperature throughout the entire house.

Thanks to the Airmove 2.0 circulating heat in the house for over ten years, Martin says he hasn't had to burn as much in the fireplace and has therefore made some savings on firewood purchases.

Airmove lasts

Even though Martin has had his Airmove installed for a long time, he has never had any problems with it. On one occasion, however, he thought it was broken when he came home and felt that the air was still. When he investigated, he discovered that a desk leg had accidentally pressed down the grate, causing the fan to stop. As soon as he lifted the grate, the fan started again, which led Martin to conclude that the fan must be of good quality as it hadn't broken.

“Airmove works brilliantly. We are very satisfied.”
