Temperature differences of up to ten degrees were previously nothing unusual in Joakim Karlsson's 1.5-storey villa in Grängesberg. Joakim has lived in the villa, which was built in 1975, since the summer of 2018. Direct-acting electricity is responsible for the heating and in the basement, where the lounge and laundry room are located, there was an old stove that was used only for the cozy factor. When Joakim moved in, he replaced it with a new soapstone stove with the hope of getting better heating throughout the house. Unfortunately, the heat got stuck in the basement and the temperature could be up to 29 degrees when Joakim lit the fire. At the same time, the temperature was around 18-19 degrees on the upper floor where the kitchen, living room and bedroom are located. Joakim therefore decided to try to find a solution to the problem of heat distribution.
"I wanted to get better distribution of the heat in the house."
It was a work colleague who advised Joakim about Airmove's products and that they could help him with the heat distribution in the house. He called Airmove's online advice where a fitter accompanied him on the phone on a tour around the house and gave advice on both products and placement. Joakim was recommended an Airmove 2.0, which creates air circulation between the house's floors and minimizes temperature differences between the floors.
In the consultation, Joakim was also told that Airmove could help with the installation or that he could do it himself with the help of an online instructional video. Joakim thought it looked easy and completed the installation himself, without any problems. He was very satisfied with the advice which he felt was professional.
The advice was superb!
Today Joakim has an even temperature in the house with around 24 degrees in the basement and around 22 degrees on the upper level. He thinks Airmove is a good product with good capabilities. He also thinks that the fact that the fan can be set to three different speeds depending on the desired temperature is good as it gives more choice.
