In the small mill town of Kolsva outside Köping, Fagersta's head of business, Tobias Back, lives in an older house with a plot of land. The house was built on one and a half floors with self-drafting and a fireplace, but a few years before Tobias moved in, the previous owners brought in geothermal heat and installed a heat pump.
According to Tobias, the house has been sealed in various installments over the years, which has led to the automatic draft no longer working. Indoors, this means that the ventilation and circulation of the air has stopped, resulting in a poor indoor climate. Tobias explains that the air felt trapped and that there was a large temperature difference between the ground floor and the upper floor. When he lit the stove it could be 24 degrees on the ground floor but only 19 degrees upstairs.

When Tobias found out about Airmove and their products, he thought it could be something for his house. During a home visit, Tobias was recommended the Airmove 3.0 fresh air valve, which brings fresh air into the house, the Airmove 2.0 heat exchanger, which circulates the air between floors, and the Airmove Flow bathroom fan, which removes moisture, odors and toxins from the house.
Airmove handled the installation and after that Tobias says that the air in the house no longer feels trapped and that there is only half a degree difference between the floors when he fires in the stove. When the house got enough air, the kitchen fan that he thought was broken also started working again. Tobias says that he is satisfied that Airmove's products had such a big effect on the indoor climate through a relatively small and affordable intervention.
"It's a small intervention and a cost-effective solution."
During the winter, Tobias will keep track of the energy costs, but he coldly expects to make a substantial energy saving as the heat spreads better in the house so that he can lower the effect on the heat pump.
