Christer Pettersson and his daughter live in a log house in the middle of the forest in Fagersta. The house was moved to its location in 1975, but no one knows when the house was built. Just like in all old houses, Christer's two-storey house had that slightly old and musty cottage smell that easily settles in the clothes.
Christer and his former partner did not want to do what many others do in old houses - to try to hide the smell. Instead, they wanted to get to the bottom of the problem.
"Many people try to get rid of the old cottage smell by hiding it with scented oils and other things, but that doesn't make the bad smell go away."
Since they also felt that the air in the house was a bit heavy, they decided to try to fix the ventilation in the house and that's when they came into contact with Airmove and their products. Airmove installed an Airmove 2.0 in the bedroom which circulates the air between the floors and an Airmove 3.0 which is a self-adjusting fresh air valve in the children's room and one in the living room. This means that Christer both gets fresh air into the house and that it circulates between the floors for a more even temperature.
After the installation, Christer says that there was a huge difference in the air quality in the house and that the cottage smell was gone. He feels that the air feels fresh and that both he and his daughter feel more alert and healthy and also sleep better at night.
The air feels completely perfect.
