  • Drill/screwdriver
  • 6-8 mm long drill bit
  • 14mm drill
  • 127 mm hole saw
  • 6mm drill

Package contents:

  • Fan housing unit
  • Power adapter
  • Ventilation pipe
  • Wall grilles
  • Connector x 2
  • Fan housing screw
  • Wall grid screw
  • Assembly instructions/warranty certificate

Planning and Security Control

Ensure that no electrical, water or wall studs prevent installation at the intended location. Use stud finders and measuring instruments for this. If in doubt, hire an accredited installer.

Installation

Step 1: Prepare the Wall

Measure and Mark Holes

Choose between high placement (at least 135x135 mm from ceiling/ceiling molding and wall) or low placement (at least 135x135 mm from floor/floor molding and wall). We always recommend a low placement to suck out the cold from the room you want to heat. Drill a through 6-8 mm center hole.

Sawing Holes

Mark a 160x160 mm area centered around the center hole. Drill holes for the jigsaw blade in the corners of the marking and saw up along the marking.

Prepare Hole for Adapter Cable

Drill a 6 mm hole for the adapter cable. Suitable locations may be below the ceiling cornice, in a corner or above the skirting board.

Step 2: Install the Ventilation Pipe

Drill Through The Wall

Use a 127 mm hole saw with a center drill from the opposite side of the wall to create the final cut-through for the vent pipe.

Pull the Adapter Cable

Pull the adapter cable through the 6 mm hole and out through the 160x160 mm hole in the wall.

Adjust the Ventilation Pipe Length

Measure the thickness of the wall and adjust the length of the ventilation pipe if necessary.

Step 3: Assemble the Fan Housing Assembly

Connect the Adapter Cable

Connect the adapter cable to the fan housing unit by crimping the connectors together: red cable to red and black cable to black.

Install the Fan Housing Unit and Pipe

Fit the fan housing unit into the 160x160 mm hole in the wall and the pipe into the 127 mm hole. Screw the fan housing unit in place with the fan housing screws provided.

Install the Wall Grille

Install the wall grille to cover the hole and give the unit an aesthetic appearance.

Step 4: Electrical Connection

Connect the Power Adapter

Connect the power adapter to the mains and select speed (M) 9V for normal operation.

Final inspection and maintenance

Final inspection

Check that all connections are tight and that there are no loose parts. Make sure that all protective covers and covers are in place and that the power cable is connected correctly.

Maintenance

Clean the unit's air intake regularly to ensure optimal airflow and function. Check the unit for any blockages or wear and tear and repair as necessary.

Technical Background and Benefits of Airmove 1.1

Technical Features and Components

Airmove 1.1 is equipped with several technical features that contribute to its efficiency and ease of use:

  • Fan housing unit: Powerful and quiet fan with multiple speed settings to adjust airflow as needed.
  • Power adapter: Efficient adapter that ensures the correct power supply with built-in safety features against overvoltage and short circuit.
  • Ventilation pipe: High-quality material that is durable and easy to adjust to the thickness of the wall. The pipe has a diameter of 127 mm and maximizes airflow.
  • Wall grille: Aesthetically designed to cover the installation hole and protect against dust and debris, made of corrosion-resistant material.
Advantages of Airmove 1.1
  • Energy Efficiency: Uses only 3 watts, lowering energy costs while improving heat distribution in your home.
  • Quiet Operation: With a noise level of only 11 dB, it is perfect for use in bedrooms and other areas where silence is important.
  • Flexible Use: Can be used to spread both heat in winter and coolness in summer, making it usable all year round.
  • Easy Installation: Designed for easy installation with a step-by-step guide and all necessary installation materials included.
  • Improved Air Circulation: Effective air circulation between rooms, eliminating cold spots and improving overall comfort in the home. This can also reduce moisture and mold growth.

How Airmove 1.1 Works

The fan in the Airmove 1.1 is designed to create a constant airflow between rooms. It draws in cold air from one room and moves it to another, creating an even temperature distribution. The power adapter converts AC power from the mains to a low-voltage DC power supply that the fan uses, reducing the risk of overheating and improving the safety of the unit. The ventilation pipe is installed through a wall, and the fan housing unit is mounted over the pipe.

The wall grille is mounted on the outside to protect the opening. The ease of installation means that even those with limited technical knowledge can carry it out without any problems. Users can easily adjust the fan speed and airflow using the voltage adapter, making it possible to adapt the air circulation to individual needs and preferences.
